The Center / The Foundation for Salutogenesis gGmbH

"How can people develop in a healthy way?"

We – a group of health activists – founded the Center/Foundation for Salutogenesis gGmbH in 2004 to contribute to a good and healthy life in society and nature through our practical and theoretical work, guided by the salutogenic question: "How can people develop healthily?" Autonomy and constructive, cooperative communication were central concerns in this endeavor.

literature

In our 20 years at the Center for Salutogenesis, we have held symposia almost annually, followed by publications of the key contributions. We have developed Salutogenic Communication SalKom® and Stress Regulation Training (certified by ZPP) to stimulate healthy self-regulation and consistency, and to foster constructive relationships and collaborations (see "Communication with a Future" (2011); "Three Crucial Questions" Petzold 2022; "Co-creative Healthy Development" Petzold 2024). We have researched people's fundamental motivations, their psychodynamic effects, and how to stimulate them (Petzold & Henke 2023).

As of today

Today, our most important activities are deepening and disseminating knowledge about salutogenesis, such as a good life for all, networking for the salutogenic discourse, and training and further education in salutogenic communication, as well as seminars and coaching on healthy stress regulation and co-creative cooperation.
